Read portfolio health without an opaque score

Compare overview, risks, and decisions, open the decision context, and verify what the demonstration export does not do. This quick start covers an interface and demonstration data: it is not an installation, a compatibility test, or Marketplace evidence.

Jira · Project page8 to 12 minutes

Expected output

An exportable observation, not an automatic score.

Reset restores the fictional preset. Your observation and verdict stay local until you explicitly copy them.

What you will build

Portfolio health

Compare overview, risks, and decisions, open the decision context, and verify what the demonstration export does not do.

Read product limitations

Prerequisites before you click

  • A real portfolio decision against which to compare the proposed hierarchy.
  • The indicators your team considers actionable: risk, dependency, or decision.
  • The role responsible for the decision and the next review date.
  • No Jira account or project: the numbers are demonstration data.

The initial preset is documented and restorable.

You know exactly what is already displayed before the action. ‘Reset all’ restores those values without retaining your trials.

  1. STATE 01

The overview shows 12 on-track items, 4 to watch, and 2 blocked.

  2. STATE 02

Portfolio context is closed and no export preview is prepared.

  3. STATE 03

The values are fixed and fictional; they do not come from a Jira project.

One action, one expected result, no decorative step.

Instructions use only controls present in the demo. If a behavior is not interactive, it appears below as blocked evidence.

  1. 01

    Compare the three readings

Browse Overview, Risks, and Decisions in the simulated project page.

    Expected result

Each tab answers a distinct question without hiding its very limited scope.

  2. 02

    Open the decision context

Return to Overview, then activate ‘Open portfolio’.

    Expected result

A local message says that two initiatives need a decision and points to the other readings.

  3. 03

    Test the export limitation

    Activate ‘Export view’ in Overview.

    Expected result

The surface confirms a preview only; no real file or report is downloaded.

  4. 04

    Qualify the value

Record the useful indicator, missing detail, and owner who should be able to act.

    Expected result

The Markdown result separates the observed interface from any still-impossible cross-project validation.

lab Jira

Use the preset, then keep the trace.

The guide does not monitor your clicks; it tells you what to observe. Reset, observation, verdict, and Markdown export remain under your control.

Guided demonstration journey

The steps direct observation; they do not automatically detect your actions.

Step 1 of 333% of the guide displayed

Compare the three views

Move through the Overview, Risks, and Decisions tabs in the simulated Jira project page.

Observe: Each tab exposes only the summary defined by the demonstration; no additional project detail is being tested.

Local verdict

Step 1 of 3: Compare the three views.

Demonstration interface and data. Host-product controls are rendered with Atlaskit; no app is installed.

Verification recipe

‘Blocked’ means this demo cannot produce the evidence. It means neither failure nor compliance of the future product.

Interactive

Overview, Risks, and Decisions navigation

Interactive through the three Atlaskit tabs.

Interactive

Decision context

Interactive by opening and closing the portfolio.

Interactive

Explicit export feedback

Interactive; the demo states that it produces no real file.

Blocked evidence

Aggregation, cross-project permissions, and calculation accuracy

Not testable with fixed data; blocked evidence before a real implementation.

Troubleshooting and limitations

The first diagnostic separates a misunderstood local action from a capability that simply does not exist in the showcase.

Why did the actions disappear from a tab?

Open portfolio and Export view belong only to Overview. Return to the first tab.

Can I change the indicators or thresholds?

No. This prototype validates neither formulas nor configuration. Record the expected rules in your observation.

How do I return to the starting point?

Reset all restores the first tab, closes the portfolio, and clears the export message.

This quick start tests a concept in the browser. Before a pilot, require a real listing, manifest, compatibility, permissions, data processing, contract, and support channel.

Open the shareable datasheet

The quick start ends with a traceable decision.

Add the exported observation to the packet, assign the blocked evidence, and decide whether to continue, ask, pause, or reject.
